When children enter the third floor rear parking lot entrance of Maple Preschool, a lovely daycare facility in a church basement with large windows on the street side, they are greeted with the happy woodland creature faces of my Furry Forest Friends wall mural. This is a 36" x 48" section of my 40 ft. high x 100 ft. long custom designed hand-painted wall mural. It was intended to brighten the once dreary concrete and cinder block walls of the stairwell and make the area cheerful and inviting for the preschool children.
I painted a huge maple tree that spans the three floors of the 40 ft. high winding stairwell. The 100 ft. long mural includes a cast of happy carefree colorful characters that populate the maple tree. These Beaver Buddies were painted on the concrete wall area between the third floor and second floor. I added some digital photo manipulation to enhance art prints and canvas prints of the painting.
