Description
This is illustration 7 for a children's picture book called Pooka Hill illustrated by Hanne Lore Koehler published by Tutkam Books. Pooka Hill is the Newfoundland version of the story of the mischievous Irish fairytale character, the Pooka, who can transform himself into many different animals. Here, a stranded Newfoundlander, who had been flown to the moon by the mischeivous Pooka posing as an eagle, holds on to a sickle as he begs the man in the moon to let him stay.

I have looked up Pooka Hill on the internet to find out the significance of these beautiful paintings. Pooka appears to be an Irish Goblin. This is all connected to Irish folk tales. But it looks to me as if you are illustrating something that has occurred in a story. Anyway, Great works.
