Description
This mold of traditional subject was a fresh design hand-carved by Otto Werner. A nice solid piece with a very smooth surface and well aged patina. The intricate carving depicts a "Marktweip" meaning "Market Wife" (referring to the farmer's wife who sold produce at the town market). This beautifully detailed carving with skillfully inlaid cutter into the surface for exact cutting of the cookie dough would make a wonderful decorative kitchen display piece but can also be put to practical use to make a delicious gingerbread woman.
Although this original one-of-a-kind wood relief carving of a MARKET WOMAN has been sold, we think you will agree, this exquisite work of art is a classic art print to decorate your traditional kitchen or to add warmth to the decor of your updated contemporary kitchen as part of a collection or by itself.
